Daily reminder that Elena wanted to be human, have a normal life, have children and grow old with the man she loves. But she gave up the cure, she gave up that dream. She wanted to be human with Damon but in the end, she found herself giving up the cure to save Damon’s life and realized all she wanted was to be with the person that makes her feel alive and that doesn’t necessarily mean she needs to be human. She chose immortality with Damon.
